Cori needs braces and is nervous about them. She goes to the orthodontist and has her teeth brushed, picked the color and had the braces applied. After looking in the mirror and hearing others positive comments, Cori decided that braces are not so bad.A Rookie Reader book written for level one readers. The book includes in the endnotes a word list along with the author and illustrator bios. The illustrations are large and follow the story. The word choice is simple, font/spacing large and sentences are short.
