George's curiosity gets the best of him causing him to be captured and taken to the city. Here, he finds adventure while exercising his curiosity and eventually finds his home in the zoo.I haven't read this since I was a child and I still found the text and illustrations to be interesting to me, an adult. The illustrations would capture the attention of young children during story time if distracted away from the words. However, I tried reading it aloud and found it had excitement and rhythm that would entertain a child.
